PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic electrical insulating film material and electrical insulating film each excellent in electrical properties, heat characteristics and low water absorptivity; and to provide a method for producing them. SOLUTION: This organic electrical insulating film material comprises a copolymer obtained by reacting a polybenzoxazole resin having structure unit of the general formula (1) with an oligomer and another objective organic electrical insulating film is characterized by that its polybenzoxazole resin layer having the structural unit of the general formula (1) has micropores. [wherein n in the general formula (1) is a 2-1,000 integer; X is a tetravalent organic group; and Y is a bivalent organic group.].
