PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen type solid-liquid separator by which effective solid-liquid separation is possible by using a screen and liquid drip is hardly generated from a secondary residual material after solid-liquid separation. SOLUTION: This screen type solid-liquid separator, which is for separating solid from a liquid-containing solid through the screen, is provided with a solid- liquid separating tank 14, an agitator 16 for uniformly dispersing solid material staying on the bottom of the tank 14 and a discharging means for discharging the secondary residual material. The tank 14 has a slanted screen 18 where the primary solid-liquid separation is carried out while the liquid-containing solid is made to flow and a bottom screen 20 where the secondary solid-liquid separation is carried out while the liquid-containing solid is stayed.
