PURPOSE: A two-way suction pump is provided to supply much water in a short time by using the rotational force of an impeller and to enable semi-permanent use by easily replacing of a worn-out bearing. CONSTITUTION: A rotating shaft(3) having an impeller(2) on a motor shaft is installed in a suction pump body(4). The inner part of the body having a partition(6) is divided into an impeller chamber(7) and first and second communication paths(8,9). An outlet port(11) and a discharge port are formed in a curved outlet path in the upper portion of the impeller chamber. Seal covers(13) and bearing cases(14) are mounted in both sides of the rotating shaft, and covers(15) are combined therewith. Upon applying power to the motor, the impeller rotates and water is sucked into an inlet port(5) by a suction force. A portion of the water flows into the impeller chamber through the first communication path while the other portion of the water flows into the impeller chamber through the second communication path. By the rotational force of the impeller, the water is discharged to the discharge port by passing through the curved outlet path. If a mechanical seal or a bearing is worn out due to long term use, the covers are separated from the bearing cases and the worn-out bearing or seal is replaced with a new one.
