PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for uniformly fixing anatase type titanium oxide having high photocatalyst activity on the surface of a basis material without causing great changes in its crystal structure, in fixing anatase type titanium oxide on the surface of a basis material using a thermal spraying process. SOLUTION: In this method for fixing anatase type titanium oxide, metal particles and anatase type titanium oxide particles are mixed and the resultant composite particles are gas-flame-sprayed onto the surface of a basis material.
