PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hexafluoropropeneoxide polymer, by which the highly pure bifunctional hexafluoropropeneoxide polymer having an extremely low monofunctional hexafluoropropeneoxide polymer content and an extremely low molecular component content can surely be produced, because a perfluorodicarboxylic acid fluoride and a perfluorodiketone which are available at relative low prices, quantitatively produce alcoholates together with an alkali metal fluoride in an aprotic polar solvent, and does not contain a monofunctional impurity are used as raw materials. SOLUTION: This method for producing the hexafluoropropeneoxide polymer, characterized by mixing a perfluorodicarboxylic acid fluoride represented by the general formula (1) (Rf is a perfluoroalkylene group which may have one or more oxygen atoms in the middle of the bonds) or a perfluorodiketone represented by the general formula (2) (R1 groups are each a 1 to 8C perfluoroalkyl; R1 groups may be the same or different each other) with a metal fluoride in an aprotic polar solvent to prepare the solution, and then supplying hexafluoropropeneoxide to the obtained solution.
