METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGHLY PURE CATIONIC POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a highly pure cationic polymer excellent in preservation stability. SOLUTION: A cationic monomer is polymerized in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator comprising an additional salt of a 2,2-azobis-2- alkylpropionamidine. The radical polymerization initiator and/or a modified product derived therefrom in the reaction liquid is converted to a succinimide derivative, and the resultant succinimide derivative is removed therefrom to provide the objective highly pure cationic polymer.
