PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a phosphoric ester useful as a resin additive such as a plasticizer and a flame retardant, or useful for a cosmetic, an agent for external use or the like in high quality. SOLUTION: This method for producing the phosphoric ester comprises neutralizing a crude phosphoric ester and bringing the neutralized product into contact with water in the presence of inorganic salts.
