PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system for a vehicle in which a refrigerant flowing sound or closing sound caused in the operation switching of opening and closing a passage selector valve for the refrigerant is suppressed and prevented. SOLUTION: This air conditioning system for vehicle comprises a compressor for compressing and sending a gas refrigerant, a condenser for condensing and liquefying the gas refrigerant, an expansion valve for expanding the liquid refrigerant by pressure reduction, and an evaporator for evaporating the liquid refrigerant. In this system, the compressor is engine-driven through a clutch, and a refrigerant system is formed by providing a passage selector valve in a liquid refrigerant passage part consisting of pluralities of expansion valves and evaporators in parallel to each other. When a solenoid valve provided as the passage selector valve is opened and closed to selectively switch the liquid refrigerant passage part, the solenoid valve is then opened and closed after the lapse of a prescribed time (T1) after the clutch is OFF once, and the clutch is ON after the lapse of a prescribed time (Ts) from the opening and closing operation.
