摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing for a rotor that prevents a sleeve fitted on a rotor body from slipping on the rotor body circumferentially even when used under severe conditions. SOLUTION: For the manufacture of a roller 1A with a sleeve 3 fitted on a rotor body 2, an external surface 5 of the rotor body 2 is shaped to have circumferentially changing distances to an axis of rotation center O-O. A cylindrical metal body 3A is loosely fitted about the external surface 5, and is subjected to axially compressing hot upsetting, which increases its wall thickness and fits it on the external surface 5 of the rotor body 2. The external surface of the thick-walled cylindrical metal body 3B is machined into a cylindrical surface centered on the axis of rotation center O-O. That fitting surface in the obtained roller 1A which is between the sleeve 3 and the rotor body is not a cylindrical surface centered on the axis of rotation center O-O, such that the sleeve 3 is incapable of a rotation on the axis O-O relative to the rotor body and is thus protected against a circumferential slip.
