LEUKOCYTE REMOVAL FILTER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a leukocyte removal filter having high airtightness and liquid tightness, eliminated from the residue of solvent, unreacted substance or fine powder pieces, safe for the human body and having high reliability. SOLUTION: This leukocyte removal filter is produced by internally arranging a filter medium 8 in a predivided male container material 5 and female container material 6, engaging them with each other and sealing the whole peripheral edge of the engaged part 7 with a molten resin 9 in a beltlike state. The engaged part 7 of the male container material 5 and the female container material 6 is provided with an approximately L-shaped connected face 10 at the inside of the engaged part by mutually cutting the inside and outside of the engaged part to form a male and female unevenness and with a channel 4 having a rectangular cross section at the outside. The channel 4 is filled with the molten resin 9 to bond the container materials.
