PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of satisfaction of passengers in using an elevator. SOLUTION: This passenger transportation system 10 transports passengers by using an elevator 11 to platforms 4a1 to 4a3 built in stories in a station part 2 for departure and arrival of trains 3. The system comprises a passenger accommodating car for the elevator disposed in a hoistway 5 extending through the platform on each story, a lifting driving mechanism for the elevator lifting the car, an opening and closing driving mechanism for the elevator opening and closing the door of the car, a memory of an operation controller 13 storing the operation schedule of all trains departing from and arriving at each platform as an operation schedule file, and an elevator control unit 12 and the operation controller for controlling the car lifting of the lifting driving mechanism and the door opening and closing operation of the opening and closing driving mechanism according to the operation schedule stored in the memory. |
