摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out that both the recovery rate and the survival rate of mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles can be improved by embedding the prevesicular ovarian follicles in a collagen gel and to provide a technique for cryopreserving the mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles by which the recovery rate and the survival rate can be raised because there are problems in that the mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles subjected to a vitrifucation treatment are readily adsorbed (or made to adhere) onto a pipet or a freezing straw and the recovery rate of the prevesicular ovarian follicles is resultantly markedly lowered. SOLUTION: This method for cryopreserving mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles comprises embedding the mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles in the collagen gel, infiltrating a cryoprotectant solution in the embedded mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles and then cryopreserving the mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles. The frozen mammalian prevesicular ovarian follicles are the prevesicular ovarian follicles cryopreserved according to the above method. Since the prevesicular ovarian follicles are embedded in the collagen gel, the recovery rate and the survival rate after thawing can be raised.</p>
