PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of printing a handwritten postal code. SOLUTION: There are provided a single character segmenting part 11 which segments a hand written postal cord as a single character unit and memorizes it, an extension/reduction processing part 13 which extends and reduces the hand written postal code so as to be installed in a postal code frame and a printing part 14 which prints the extended/reduced postal code in the postal code frame.
