PURPOSE: A device for reducing starting load of a scroll compressor is provided to reduce compression load by discharging gas in the process of compressing in case of starting. CONSTITUTION: In a device for reducing starting load of a scroll compressor, a discharge opening(18), to reduce starting load by communicating gas with a venting chamber in the process of compressing in case of starting, is formed between laps(9a) of a fixed scroll(9). A discharge valve, opening and shutting the discharge opening, is installed to the fixed scroll. When the discharge opening is more than one, each discharge opening is disposed on the circumference, to make compression load torque less than the motor-starting torque, and the position of the discharge opening has phase difference of 360 degrees on an involute curve.
