<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time taken for specifying sorting when the number of delivery routes is larger than that of branch passages and a plurality of conveying devices with a different number of mounted branch passages are used. SOLUTION: The conveying device includes a storage part 5 for previously storing a logic branch number as a branch number provided every delivery route of baggage correspondingly to a delivery destination code and previously storing a physical branch number as a branch number provided every delivery route 6 correspondingly to the logic branch number. A reading part 1 reads an identification symbol of baggage conveyed by the conveying device 3 and outputs the delivery destination code. A control part 4 controls the conveying device 3 so that the logic branch number corresponding to the delivery destination code received from the reading part 1 is searched from the storage part 5, a physical branch number corresponding to the searched logic branch number is retrieved from the storage part 5, and the baggage is delivered to the delivery route 6 having the retrieved physical branch number.</p> |
