PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a propylene homopolymer having excellent melt processability, blocking resistance, etc. SOLUTION: This propylene homopolymer has properties (a) the ratio of Mw/Mn of weight-average molecular weight (Mw) to number-average molecular weight (Mn) obtained by GPC method is >=3.5, (b) in a temperature rising fractional chromatography, a component amount W0 eluted at <=0 deg.C is <=3 wt.% based on the whole eluted components, (c) in a temperature rising fractional chromatography, when a main elution peak temperature is Tp( deg.C), a temperature at which 40 wt.% of component is eluted is T40( deg.C) and a temperature at which 60 wt.% of component is eluted is T60( deg.C), Tp andΔT (T60-T40) satisfy (1)ΔT<3.0 and (2)ΔT<-0.25×Tp+23 and (d) an intrinsic viscosity [η] measured in decalin at 135 deg.C is 0.5-3 deciliter/g.
