PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a separation claw and occurrence of an impulsive sound, by providing a regulating member for locking a force-up plate before the force-up plate for receiving and supporting paper in the paper feeding cassette rapidly rises to collide to the separation claw. SOLUTION: The force-up plate 14 for supporting the paper in the paper feeding cassette 1 provided with the separation claw 24 for separating paper at both corners on the paper feeding side. Overhanging members 30 are disposed on both sides of the force-up plate 14, and a regulating claw member 35 is projected inwardly and integrated with a cassette side plate 4 of the overhanging member. Even when the force-up plate rapidly rises, the regulating claw member 35 stops the rising, the separating claw 24 is made to escape to a top dead center position 24b, thereby preventing direct application of the impulse.
