PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently producing fatty acid esters and glycerol in high yields from oils and fats and an alcohol under more suitable conditions, and to provide a fuel containing the fatty acid esters. SOLUTION: This method for producing the fatty acid esters and the glycerol from oils and fats and an alcohol, characterized by reacting the oils and fats with the alcohol under a condition that the oils and fats and/or the alcohol are converted into a supercritical state, and the fuel, diesel fuel, lubricant base oil or fuel oil additive, characterized by containing the fatty acid ester produced by the production method. |
