PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-base alloy soft magnetic material which is easy in pulverization even in an amorphous state. SOLUTION: This method includes the following steps: a step of preparing a melt of an alloy having a compositional formula represented by Fe100-x-yRxMyM'z (wherein, Fe is iron; R is a rare earth element; M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Si, B and C; M' is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Hf, Nb, V, Ta, Cu, Ag, Au, Cr, Mn, Zn, Ga, Mo, W, Pt and Pb; and composition ratios x, y and Z satisfy relational expressions, by atom, 0%<x<=9%, 10%<y<=25% and 0%<=z<=10%, respectively); and a cooling step where the melt of the alloy is quenched by means of melt quenching to prepare a rapidly solidified alloy in amorphous state. The solidified alloy is pulverized and then subjected to heat treatment for crystallization. |
