PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and means for separating the heavy phase and the light phase of a fluid sample. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a collecting tube, a flowable fluid separation medium, and a deformable container. The separation medium is stored in the deformable container, and the deformable container is placed in the collection tube and can be deformed, by being put through a centrifugal separator, from the first state where it permits fluid collection in the tube to the second state where it establishes physical separation between separated fluid phases. |
