PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring the suitable concentration of caustic soda to be introduced for caustic weight reduction at a weight reduction processing apparatus for carrying out the caustic weight reduction of various fabrics, in particularly polyester fiber fabrics is provided, which prevents inaccuracy of weight reduction and reduces the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is characterized in that it contains: a caustic soda concentration measuring apparatus(A) for measuring the concentration of caustic soda recovered from a recovery tank(40) by a volume neutral titration method; a concentration controlling part(B) for suitably maintaining the optimum concentration of weight reduction caustic soda by controlling a quantitative pump(58) for supplying treatment water and caustic soda to be introduced; and a program for controlling the quantitative pump.
