PURPOSE: A manufacturing method is provided to manufacture a nipple for a flexible pipe in a large amount by minimizing both ends of a stainless pipe in a uniform thickness and cold forging a number of fitting projections in the surface of the pipe. CONSTITUTION: A stainless pipe is cut into a number short pipes having a uniform length. Each of the short pipes is forged at both ends. A nipple(1) is cold forged by a forging machine having a number of forging plates, and the outer diameter of a nipple(1) is reduced smaller than that of the each short pipe(2). Reduced pipes(4) are formed at both sides of a central portion of the nipple(1). The reduced pipes(4) are cold forged by the forging machine to form a number of fitting projections(4a) in the outside of the reduced pipes(4). The central portion(3) of the nipple(1) is formed to have a hexagonal section for convenience's sake of a user.
