PURPOSE: A safety vehicle seat for children is provided to improve safety and comfortableness by adjusting the space according to growth of children with installing side guards and a height adjustable unit of a backrest. CONSTITUTION: A safety seat for a child in a vehicle comprises a seat part(100) and a backrest(200) to form a support part, and children are placed in the support space. The seat part consists of a seat body(111) and an adjusting member adjusting the height of a seat belt. A pair of side guards(210) are moved outward, and installed at both sides of the backrest to protect the head and the shoulder of the child. The side guards have a head protecting pad(211) and a shoulder protecting pad(212). A height adjustable unit is installed between the seat part and the backrest to adjust the vertical position of the backrest. The safety and the comfortableness are improved with adjusting the support space in the safety seat for children.
