PURPOSE: To provide a coin wrapping machine which can rapidly cope with such an accident that a package of coins with excess or lack of coins has been prepared and mixed with a normal package by making the package with excess or lack visually distinguishable from the normal one. CONSTITUTION: The coin wrapping machine includes a control means 54 for causing a wrapping paper rolling and tightening means 9 to wind the wrapping paper once again or a plurality of times when an excess or lack in coins of a single package of coins is detected by excess or lack detection means 26, 43. Thus when there is an excess or lack in the number of coins, more wrapping paper than usual is wound and tightened, whereby the package with an excess or lack can be visually distinguished from the normal one.
