PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically connecting calls in a communication system is provided to automatically perform a call connection with a receiving space which exists in a nearest position with a corresponding caller by inputting a certain number designated by the caller. CONSTITUTION: A server(30) is combined with a switch(20) through a certain physical and logical link. A database(50) including a subscriber information storing unit(51) and a called number storing unit(52) is composed in the server(30). A calling number and a position data of the calling number are correspondently stored in the subscriber information storing unit(51). A service industry-type code, a position data, and a real called number are correspondently stored in the calling number storing unit(52). If a user inputs a certain identification number and inputs a service industry-type code, a switch(20) supplies the caller number and the service industry-type code to the server(30). The server(30) searches the database(50) based on the supplied data and reads a real called number. The read called number is supplied to the switch(20), and a line connection process is executed by the switch(20). The switch(20) has a certain voice recognition device(60). If a subscriber inputs a certain identification number and inputs an industry-type name as a voice, the switch(20) supplies the recognition result to the server(30) for reading a real called number.
