PURPOSE: To magnetically attract and separate magnetic particles and nonmagnetic particles in a fluid mixture. CONSTITUTION: A fluid mixture containing magnetic particles is sent into a separating cylinder rotated in a position horizontally hung in a ferromagnetic field to magnetically attract the magnetic particles to a free ferromagnetic body in the separating cylinder and separate the magnetic particles from the fluid mixture. After that, they are demagnetized and then, the separating cylinder is inclined, and also, by sending cleaning fluid, the magnetic particles are taken out.
