<p>PURPOSE: To provide a solid-state color image pickup element with which the remarkable improvement in photosensitivity is possible and a simple process for producing the element. CONSTITUTION: The main parts of the color solid state image pickup element 100 are composed of plural photosensors 2 which are arranged in a matrix form within a silicon base body 1, color filter layers 4 which are disposed in the parts corresponding to the respective photodetector parts on the upper side thereof, lens forming layers 7 which are disposed on the upper side thereof, are composed of photosensitive resins having a refractive index of 1.3 to 1.5 and form recessed parts of a spherical surface shape in the parts corresponding to the respective photodetector parts, lower side microconvex lens 8 groups which are disposed thereon and consist of polyimide resins having a refractive index of >=1.8 and upper side microconvex lens 10 groups which are disposed in the parts corresponding to the respective photodetector parts on the upper side thereof. The efficient condensing of incident light on the respective photodetectors is made possible by the effect of the upper and lower side microconvex lens 8, 10 groups and the photosensitivity thereof is greatly improved.</p> |
