<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take outside shut down request signals of a level form and a pulse form into a computer with one input/output port. SOLUTION: An outside shut down request signal of a level form or a pulse form is taken into a computer 2 from a connector 210. When a signal 202 whose high level is turned on a converted in an input conversion circuit 22 and a request signal latch circuit 23 latches the signal 202, it immediately outputs a signal 203. A time out detection circuit 204 outputs a signal 204 when the continuation time of the signal 202 is timed out. A pulse level identification circuit 25 judges whether the input terminal of the connector 210 is open or close with input potential when the computer is started. When it is open, the signal is of the pulse form by the switch 8, and when closed, it is of the pulse form by an uninterruptible power source 1 source device 1. A selector 8 issues an outside shut down start signal SDRQ at the time of receiving the signal 203 in the case of the pulse form and of receiving the signal 204 in the case of the level form.
