PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method of fabricating the plasma display panel are provided, which prevents impurity gases contained in pores of barriers from emitting during heat treatments to maintain the color purity of fluorescent materials and extend the life of the plasma display panel including the fluorescent materials. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes a front substrate constructed in a manner that a scan electrode, a sustain electrode, the first dielectric layer and a protective layer are sequentially formed on the back side of a front glass, and a back substrate(40) constructed in a manner that a bottom layer(26), a data electrode(28), the second dielectric layer(30), barriers(32) and fluorescent materials(34a,34b,34c) coated between the barriers are sequentially formed on a back glass(24). A coating film(44) is formed on the exposed portion of the barriers arranged on the second dielectric layer. The coating film is formed of a material having high reflectivity and low viscosity. The fluorescent materials are coated on the coating film formed between the barriers.
