PURPOSE: An apparatus for separating a water rocket is provided to overcome the critical point of a flight due to the limit of propelling force of the water rocket, and to allow the water rocket to be separated in multistage manner to continue the propelling force thereof. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for separating the water rocket has a fixed body(10) made of a waste bottle to be coupled with a propelling unit(1) on the tip end. A propelling unit insertion part(21) having a ball(22) is formed on the upper side of a screw bore(12) formed in the center of the fixed body, and a propelling unit fastener(20) is screwed into the propelling unit insertion part. An O-ring(31) is installed in the propelling unit fastener, and an actuating member(30) having a center vent hole(30a) is elastically supported by a spring(32). The actuating member is coupled to a pin(42) formed on the lower end of an outer ring(40) elastically supported on the circumference of the propelling unit by a spring(41). The propelling unit is clamped or unclamped by the ball of the propelling unit insertion part moving upward and downward according to the upward and downward action of the actuating member.
