METHOD FOR RENAMING STACK REFERENCE IN COMPUTER PROCESSING SYSTEM AND ITS PROGRAM STORAGE DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a method for renaming memory reference to a stack place in a computer processing system. CONSTITUTION: This method includes a step for detecting stack reference using an architecturally defined stack access method and a step for replacing the stack reference with reference to a register in a processor. The architecturally defined stack access method includes a memory access using one of a stack pointer and a frame pointer and an argument pointer. Moreover, the architecturally defined stack access method includes a push, pop, and the other stack operation.
