<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove algae and floating suspension in water so as to prevent the propagation of shells downstream of a pebble packed bed and to maintain an excellent purification ability by providing a non-aeration region in the upstream part of the pebble packed layer and providing an aeration region mounted with oxygen supply means in the lower part of the downstream. CONSTITUTION:This inter-pebble contact purification water channel 1 has the pebble packed bed 2 formed by packing pebbles 11, etc., therein and is constituted to purify the sea water and river water introduced therein by moving the water. The non-aeration region 3 is provided in the upstream part of the pebble packed layer 2 and blowers 6a, 6b as the first and second dissolved oxygen supply means are provided in the lower part on the downstream of the non- aeration region 3. As a result, the larvae of the algae and shells in the water are perished by the shortage of dissolved oxygen in the non-aeration region 3 and the propagation thereof to the downstream pebble packed layer 2 from the non-aeration region 3 is prevented. The soluble org. matter and floating suspension are decomposed or captured by the effect or the biological membranes on the surfaces of the pebbles 11 in the aeration region 4.</p> |
