PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a drive method of the same are provided to be capable of enhancing light emission efficiency and brightness by increasing the light emission area within discharge cells. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel comprises sustain electrode groups(Y1-Ym,Z1-Zm) which are arranged to be parallel on a rear surface of an upper substrate, and address electrode groups(X1-Xn) which are arranged to be parallel and be orthogonal to the sustain electrode groups on a top surface of a lower substrate. Red, green and blue discharge cells(35) are alternately arranged along the lengthwise of the sustain electrode groups. The sustain electrode groups(Y1-Ym,Z1-Zm) are formed by arranging side by side so that a plurality of scan/sustain electrode lines(Y1-Ym) and a plurality of common sustain electrode lines(Z1-Zm) can be paired. |
