PURPOSE: A wire rope isolator and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to use a wire rope isolator in a limited space with holding light load and reducing process, and to form intensity evenly against entire shafts. CONSTITUTION: A wire rope isolator is composed of a wire rope and a pair of mounting blocks(5). The mounting blocks consists of two cylindrical elongated flanges(3,4) connected tangentially to each other by a web(2). The diameter of the flange is more than the thickness of the web, and the lower parts of the flanges are extended downward from the web. Holes are penetrated through the flanges. A wire rope is passed through flange holes, and the lower surface of the web is faced to the lower part of the other web. Flanges of the mounting block are deviated to the flanges with 90 angular degrees. Four U-shaped semicircular link(9A,9C,9D) are loose to supply elastic force to the wire rope, and extended outward at 45 angular degrees from the mounting blocks in a cloverleaf shape. The wire rope is combined mechanically with processing the lower extended part of the flange, and the cloverleaf shape is kept with fixing the wire rope. The intensity of the wire rope is distributed. |
