PURPOSE: An automatic payment system by a locker is provided to enable a resident to pay to the businessman by reading a card such as a credit card, an electronic card and a debit card or a barcode with a reader being equipped to a locker. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a reader(12c) electrically reading a businessman identifier set by a contract between a locker management company and the businessman, an operation key(12b) for inputting the receiver identifier, a sensor(12d) detecting the existence of a luggage in the locker, an electric lock(12h) locking a door of box in case of detecting a luggage and a CPU(12a) storing the receiver identifier and businessman identifier and transmitting the stored data to a management center. As taking out un-paid goods in the locker, the door of locker box is opened by reading a receiver identifier with a reader or inputting a password with the operation key. The receiver identifier or password is stored in the CPU and the management company pays the price by the receiver identifier or password to the goods seller.
