PURPOSE: A nut assembly having a pivotable nut is provided to impart strength by increasing wall thickness and to prevent breakage of the nut upon tightening of a bolt. CONSTITUTION: A nut assembly includes a pivotable nut and a frame having a flange formed with a bolthole. A pair of arms is provided on both sides of the flange. Hanging walls extending in the bolt inserting direction are provided around a bolthole at two portions opposing on an imaginary plate perpendicular to a line connecting pins. The hanging walls narrow width of a guide hole of a nut. The hanging walls are received by an amount to narrow the hanging wall. Thereby, the wall thickness of both sides of the nut is increased. Moreover, the nut assembly having a pivotable nut prevents breakage of the nut by tightening of the bolt.
