PURPOSE: To provide a cathode-ray tube with a reinforcement band with high strength realized without using any special member. CONSTITUTION: In this cathode-ray tube that is equipped with a reinforcement band 3 for explosion prevention on the side wall of a panel 1, the reinforcement band 3 is formed in a closed-circuit condition along the side wall of the panel 1 by joining each other both ends of a belt-type metal plate 6 having partly a dual structure by folding back one side, and one end and the other end of both ends are joined so that they may have a triple structure at least partly.
