PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the detection of coincidence between row addresses at a high speed in a control device for a DRAM or a synchronous DRAM. SOLUTION: A memory device is constituted of a means for extracting a row address part from access addresses, a buffer for storing the extracted row address, a means for comparing the extracted row address with the row address stored in the buffer to judge their coincidence, a buffer for storing the pointer of each row address to the buffer, and a means for comparing stored pointers to judge their coincidence with each other. The memory device is also provided with a means for evading the registration of the same row addresses in the buffer for storing row addresses, a control circuit for detecting the coincidence of row addresses between access requests from the compared result of coincidence between stored pointers and a control circuit for continuously issuing to a DRAM the column addresses of a plurality of requests whose row addresses coincide with each other.
