PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material for X-ray mammography having high contrast, excellent in diagnostic ability and having good preservability, a processing method of the sensitive material, and an X-ray image forming method using those. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material with at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on one face of the base and a backing layer on the other face, flat platy silver halide grains having an aspect ration of 3 to 30 doped with ions of at least one metal selected from among Rh, Ru, Re and Os occupy >=50% of the total projected area of silver halide grains in the at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and the layer contains at least one compound of formula 1.
