PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic imaging member with improved resistance against light shock. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic imaging member comprises a substrate, a charge generating layer containing photogenerating particles selected from a group of hydroxygallium phthalocyanine, alkoxygallium phthalocyanine and a mixture of these dispersed in a polymer binder, and a charge transfer layer containing a charge transfer material, a film forming binder and an additive selected from among a group of triethanolamine, morpholine, imidazole and mixtures of these.
