PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic scattering film and a composition in which the scattering characteristics are anisotropic (forward or backward scattering and dependence on the incident angle) and the scattering characteristics concerning to the longitudinal and lateral scattering range can be also controlled, and colors of the display light do not change without depending on the observation position. SOLUTION: The composition consists of at least a cation polymerizable compound, a radical polymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator which produces radicals by actinic rays, and a thermal polymerization initiator which generates cations by heat, and the refractive index of the cation polymerizable compound differs from that of the radical polymerization compound. The anisotropic scattering film is produced by using that composition to produce portions having different refractive indices distributed with irregular forms and thickness. In the film, a dense and thin pattern with different refractive indices is formed in such a manner that the portions with different refractive indices are distributed in layers inclined from the thickness direction of the film.
