PURPOSE: A protection system for a taxi driver is provided to realize a safe travel for the driver as well as a fare by isolating a driver's seat from front and rear passenger's seats. CONSTITUTION: A protection system for a taxi driver comprises: an L-shaped frame(10) surrounding the rear and inner faces of a driver's seat(1); a protection panel(20) attached to the frame to isolate a driver's area from a passenger's area by blocking up the rear upper portion and the inner face of the driver's seat; a fixing member installed in the rear lower portion of the protection panel and combined to a headrest(4) of the driver's seat to fix the frame in the driver's seat; and a moving member formed in the lower front end of the protection panel to move forwardly and rearwardly with the driver's seat along a guide rail attached to a door side inner face. With the protection panel, a driver is protected from a robber in a front passenger's seat. As the driver's area is isolated from the passenger's area, other passengers as well as the driver are protected. For preventing breakage of the protection panel, transparent fiber-reinforced plastic is used.
