THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER COMPOSITION FOR FOOTWEAR

PURPOSE: A thermoplastic elastomer composition for footwear is provided, to improve flowability, abrasion resistance and durability, so that it is suitable for molding polymers. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a base which is a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, or a mixture of 70-95 wt.% of a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and 5-30 wt.% of a polystyrene-based resin selected from general purpose polystyrene(GPPS) and high impact polystyrene(HIPS); 5-50 parts by weight of a flowability-improving agent selected from a polyolefin resin and a plasticizer; 3-50 parts by weight of silica as a filler; 0.5-20 parts by weight of an anti-abrasion improving agent; 0.2-20 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent; and other common additives. Preferably the polyolefin resin is selected from polyethylene resin, polypropylene resin, ethylene-vinyl acetate resin and ethylene-alpha olefin resin.
