PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an image by which the gloss of an image can be varied according to the kinds of images or user's preference, an image with stable low gloss can be obtained while giving enough fixing property, and an image of medium gloss or high gloss can be obtained without changing the fixing conditions so much. SOLUTION: In the method of fixing a toner image formed on a recording material by bringing the image into contact with a heated fixing member, the resin in the toner used contains no THF insoluble content and has 15,000 to 45,000 weight average mol.wt. by GPC, 5 to 15 ratio of the weight average mol.wt. to the number average mol.wt., and 3 to 15 wt.% of the component having >=1×105 mol.wt. The device has a means to switch the gloss of the fixed image. |
