PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a composition of a filter unit which converts a video image to other format and a computing unit, which superimposes many images, in a common hardware structure. SOLUTION: The video signal processing system is used to process video data and graphic data. The system has a filter unit that is made suitable to receive video signals and converts the signals into video image having different numbers of rows or columns and receives graphic signals and converts the signals to a series of video data in which graphic data and converted video data are superimposed and outputs the data.
