DEVICE FOR FORMING BARRIER RIB OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming a barrier rib of a PDP capable of making the arrangement of the ribs and electrodes coincide by restricting the electrodes printed on the rib material not to move when forming the ribs. SOLUTION: The device has a lower plate 6 on which a barrier rib material 2 with a prescribed thickness is loaded and a base circuit board 4 with electrodes 14 is mounted and plural grooves 8 corresponding to the shape of a rib to be formed on the base circuit board 4. Ribs 50 for pressing the rib material 2 are formed between the grooves 8. An electrode movement preventive part for preventing the electrodes 14 from moving by restricting the electrodes 14 when the rib is formed comprises a punch 10 formed in the ribs 50 and an upper plate 12 mounted above the punch 10 for supporting the punch 10 and moving the punch 10 up/down in a prescribed range.
