PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable permanent magnet mounting structure to obtain an eddy current deceleration apparatus, assuring simplified manufacturing processes and particularly increase of braking torque in the low-speed rotation region. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet (1) is fixed on a magnet support cylinder (3) by setting the circumferential end surface of (7) of the permanent magnet (1) as the plane inclined for a constant angle with respect to the straight line in the diameter direction and the closely placing a support metal (2), having in both sides the plane inclined in the same angle as this plane to the circumferential end surface (7) of the permanent magnet (1).
