SOLUTION: In the substrate material structure for the building, openings 6, 7, into which muntins 2 are inserted, are formed to mutually opposed two surfaces 1a, 1b arranged in the same direction respectively in each horizontal substrate material 1 while fitting grooves 8, into which the muntins 2 are positioned, are slipping-off preventive pieces 9 preventing the slipping-off of the muntins 2, which are opened and closed freely, using the month edges of the openings 6 as fulcra and positioned on the fitting grooves 8, are formed on at least one sides of these openings 6, 7, the muntins 2 are inserted into the openings 6 formed to the horizontal substrate material 1, etc., the muntins 2 are fitted and positioned into the fitting grooves a of the openings 6, and the board-material stretching surfaces 1c, etc., in the horizontal substrate materials 1, etc., are arranged vertically.
