PURPOSE: A resin plate for coating a film of an LCD(liquid crystal display) is to form a protrusion on a surface of the resin plate so that the protrusions are differently formed at an inner portion and an outer portion of the surface of the resin plate, thereby uniformly forming a thickness of the film formed on glass. CONSTITUTION: An alignment layer or an insulating layer is formed on an upper and lower substrate. A protrusion is formed on a surface of a resin plate(30). The protrusion formed at a peripheral portion of a screen is larger than that formed at other portions of the screen. A size of the protrusion is in inverse proportion to an impregnated amount of coating solution. When the resin plate coats glass, pressure exerted on liquid crystal cell is the largest at an edge portion of the liquid crystal cell. The coating solution is flowed out by rolling effect of the resin plate to coat the glass. The resin plate has the largest protrusion(16) at an outer portion thereof and the smallest recessed portion(18). Therefore, an amount of the coating solution, which is permeated through the recessed portion, is also the smallest.
