<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image transmission method that can properly conduct decoding corresponding to coding where the number of bits assigned to information relating to a mode suitable for a shape signal, transparent signal and a pixel value signal separated from an inputted image signal is decreased. SOLUTION: Coding mode discriminators 110, 114, and 118 discriminate a coding mode suitably for a shape signal, a transparent signal and a pixel value signal that are block-coded, a mode coder 123 generates a mode coding signal by coding each signal by a corresponding coed mode and transmits the mode coded signal with he coded signal corresponding to the shape signal, the transparent signal and the pixel value signal.</p> |
